A Born Storyteller

For most of his life, Dave has been crafting and refining the art of storytelling. With that practice he has developed a unique ability to bring visual stories to life. Since 2008 that has come in the form as a freelance Editor – and occasional stints as a director, writer, and producer – for documentary and unscripted television projects.

 

Some highlights include... For seven seasons he was the Supervising Editor for the three-time Emmy nominated Science series, Through the Wormhole With Morgan Freeman, where he crafted the series' unique visual style. In 2015, Dave created and sold a series concept to The Cooking Channel, which became Food: Fact or Fiction starring veteran actor Michael McKean. Dave was the Executive Producer, Director, and Lead Editor on the series, making 65 episodes over four consecutive seasons. In 2019, Dave was brought on as the Lead Editor to help shape the hit Netflix series Indian Matchmaking, which ran for three seasons. In 2023, he was hired by Iwerks & Co to help deliver a four part documentary series, WB100, about the history of the Warner Brothers Studio. The series premiered at the Cannes Film Festival before airing on HBO. Most recently, Dave worked on Season 18 of the beloved Fox series So You Think You Can Dance.

 

Prior to working in television, Dave worked in the commercial world for five years producing, directing, and editing in partnership with major companies such as @radical.media, Crispin Porter Bogusky, DDB NY, as well as doing campaigns for major organizations like the Gates Foundation, Google, Nationwide Insurance, MAC Foundation, The Girl Scouts of America, and others. Working alongside some of the best commercial directors and ad agencies, he has honed his ability to effectively communicate a brand or a message with lasting value.

Dave graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in English with a concentration in Film Studies
